dressd is designed to collect as little of your data as possible. This page explains exactly what we store, and why.
Who we are
dressd is operated by David Bodiu, based in Ireland, who is the data controller for the personal data described on this page. You can reach us any time at hello@dressd.me.
If you browse as a guest
Everything (your likes, saved items, taste profile and region) is stored only on your own device (in your browser's local storage, or on your iPhone). Nothing about you is stored on our servers. Clearing your browser data (or deleting the app) erases it.
If you sign in
Sign-in is optional, via Google or Apple. When you sign in we store, on our server:
- your email address and display name (as provided by Google/Apple);
- your dressd profile: likes, saved items, taste weights, shipping region, hidden stores, hidden categories, and a short list of recently seen items, so your feed syncs across devices.
Our server is hosted with Fly.io in London (UK/EEA region).
What we don't do
- No advertising trackers and no third-party analytics on dressd.
- We don't sell or share your personal data with anyone.
How long we keep it
Your profile is kept only for as long as your account exists; deleting your account removes it immediately. We keep no request logs of our own. Our hosting provider (Fly.io) retains standard server logs briefly for operations and security.
Your rights & data deletion
You can permanently delete your account and everything in it directly in the app: open the profile tab and tap "Delete account". Deletion is immediate and total; there is no undo. You can also email hello@dressd.me from the address you signed in with to request deletion or an export of your data, and we'll do it promptly. Guests can simply clear their device storage.
